I believe breastfeeding is a beautiful, natural and sacred gift we are able to provide to our children; and through compassionate support and guidance, you will nurse with complete confidence. I believe what you and your family need most during this time is non-judgmental, evidence-based care, offered with a kind and considerate manner. This can be a particularly vulnerable time for new parents and families and I am always respectful of your values, traditions, and culture.

Services and Rates______________________________________

Initial Home Visit
This initial home visit, typically lasting about one hour, includes an intake of both you and your baby, as well as on observation and assessment of an entire feeding. I specifically address any questions or concerns you have, such as latch or positioning, introducing any new, useful positions. I bring a hospital grade scale to accurately measure baby’s weight before and after feeding, ensuring proper milk intake and weight gain. We discuss how much and how often your baby needs to be fed, including signs to look for to ensure proper feedings. I can assess any breast and nipple issues, as well as address concerns you may have with baby’s sucking ability, muscle tone and function. I can also provide information on topics such as pumping, storing, freezing, and thawing of breast milk.

The initial home visit cost is $90 and is typically about one hour. If more time is needed, payment is charged in 15 minute intervals at $20.

Follow-up Home Visit
Ensuring you receive all the breastfeeding support you need is important for continued success. Follow up visits offer the opportunity to revisit any questions or concerns you have, as well as address anything new that has come up since our last visit. During this appointment, I will observe and assess an entire feeding, introducing new positions that will be useful, as well as additional tips and recommendations. At this time I can also address any nipple concerns you may be experiencing. We will weigh your baby before and after the feeding with a hospital grade scale, accurately measuring milk intake and assuring proper weight gain.

As long as you continue to breastfeed you will encounter changes, and may find you have new questions or concerns to address. I am available for follow up consultations and support as long as you to continue to breastfeed. If you feel as though additional appointments may still be necessary, they can be arranged at this time.

Follow- Up Visits are $40 and are typically 30 minutes. Additional time is billed in 15 minute intervals for $20.
